Ford is currently in it’s final stages to resurrect the iconic Ford Bronco, and now recent trademark filings suggest the mighty Excursion is about to see a revival. Ford Motor Company applied this month to trademark the name ‘Excursion’, according to documents published by the United States Patent and Trademark office.
While Ford is committed to electrifying much of their lineup, we speculate that at the very least, the new Excursion would be based on the 3/4-ton Super Duty chassis – and will be powered by Ford’s latest generation 6.7l Power Stroke V8 diesel, while the 7.3l V8 gas motor seems like a viable secondary option.
